The head of the
department
Our department was
established in December 1974 to facilitate the research and
development of control systems. D.Sc (Tech), full professor
Rashkevych Y.M. has been the head of the department since
1992.
From the very
beginning (1974) up to 2006 more than 2600 students (including 160
foreign engineers and masters) graduated from the
department.
We train
professionals in computer science (Bachelor’s degree),
computer systems of information processing and information
management and in technology of automatic processing of text and
written information (Master’s degree).
The department aims
to address the control demands of complex systems by developing new
and innovative solutions that are relevant to industrial
applications.
Since 1998 the
department has been training Bachelors of Light industry. Later
this specialization got the name of Printing and Publishing. A lot
of professionals in information control systems and information
management with qualification of analyst engineer have graduated
from our department.
